Practitioner Essay: You Are Whole, Complete And Perfect Just The Way You Are

We often are afraid to let people see us as we really are.  We will often deny something we have said or done, hoping to avoid the wrath of someone who will judge us. We may feel that if people really knew who we were they might be disgusted or repelled but the person who is really disgusted about who you are is you.

The truth is our fear is not of other people’s judgments but of our own judgment. The pain that we envision would occur if we were discovered by others is fueled by our perpetual fear of facing ourselves. We do not worry about being discovered by others but that we will be actually have to face who we are.  Some of us, spend our whole life pretending to be someone else hoping to seek approval of others only to find in the end that they did not like our concocted personality, either.

Ignoring our own true natures leaves us with a serious identity crisis. We are so afraid to look at ourselves as we truly are. We even ignore our own true selves believing that some of our thoughts or actions are so repulsive that we could not face the truth.

We need to be gentler on ourselves. Sure we have made some mistakes, that we have done some strange things,  in attempting to find happiness and fulfillment. We must realize that our beliefs about ourself are simply our own meaningless judgments of that keep us stuck in thoughts of our own lack of perfection.  Let us be jubilant in the realization that all the wicked things that you did were never done. All your transgressions are nothing

The self you made up in your mind does not really exist, except in your own mind and anything that self-created “self” does or thinks means nothing. You have invented your identity and is keeping you from your birthright for a happy and joyous life.

The transgressions that you think you did never happened.  You have made up a dream about who you are and then remain asleep to live that dream. It is not your actions that are causing your dismay but your illusion of the awful person that you think you are.

You are not that terrible person.  The truth is at the core of your being you are uncorrupted and pure of heart. Your true inner nature is incapable of making an offense against the world.  You must embrace your true nature for as long as you think that you are bad or evil you will be stuck there repeating the thoughts and deeds that you so clearly despise about yourself.

It is time to forgive yourself and move on to a newer a brighter life, today.  It is time to realize that you are not the thoughts you have made about yourself but are as you were created: whole, perfect and complete.  Begin today to embrace the pureness of spirit that you are. Begin to experience oneness with this inner presence in you.
